We praise the Lord for the gift of encouragement. These come to us in many ways and always in the Lord’s timing.
Each time we are the recipients of these acts of love, we find God’s strength to carry on in our tasks, His love to share with the unlovely, His comfort in our loneliest moments, and His hope to give to the downtrodden.
This gift is excercised more varied than in any other time of history. We receive bits of encouragement in the spoken word through amazing technology of Skype or via video messages. Email provides another avenue of encouragement that does the refreshing work in our spirits each time we check our computers. In another beautiful expression that often requires effort and expense, we receive notes and letters.
You know who you are and we take this chance to say “Thank You” and praise the Lord for the refreshment, joy, and love that is carried in these precious acts of encouragement from the Body of Christ. May you continue to exercise your gift with wisdom and sensitivity to Him!
